Owning a vacation home conjures images of wealthy land owners moving households to summer estates. But vacation homes can be anything from a studio condo to a cabin in the woods to a house boat. Here are four compelling reasons to consider buying a vacation property:

If dropping that much is light years away from what you can afford, the good news is that you can do a lot with less than $250, if you do the work yourself.
